Decisions is a fine art photography print that made an impression on photographer Aileen Sideris as soon as she entered the scene. Black and white architecture photography is a favorite for Aileen Sideris. The leading lines, tall buildings, and the countless decisions that can be made in this photograph and in life are endless. Photographed on a street corner in Tokyo, Japan while on a photography journey, this is one of many street photography scenes that Aileen was able to capture and take with her after her trip had ended. Now, she brings this image to you. Allowing the admiration and appreciation for what would normally be an everyday scene, to continue.

Behind the Image

Decisions

Traveling has that rare ability of taking you to places you’ve always wanted to go and experiencing them in ways you never thought you would. I remember being in Tokyo, Japan and being blown away by the city. What it felt like to walk these streets was so unique and rare to me.

I remember thinking at this intersection how our decisions shape our lives. There are so many different ways a person can go, so many different lives that one person can live. And all it takes is walking in a certain direction and you’ll be brought to the place you wanted to go. Sometimes it’s not clear and we need guidance, other times we’re assisting others on the paths their on.

This is the beauty of life. Of all of our lives. We’re not confined to one road that will lead us to one destination. Sometimes we forget that, this photograph helps remind me.
